Mr George M Beck is instructed by the mortgagee to sell by auction, at his property sale rooms, No 9 Queen Street, on Thursday August 20th, 1868 at seven o’clock in the evening, in one lot - all those substantially erected freehold premises, 8 and 9 Warblington Street.
Each comprising shop, parlour, four bedrooms, wash-house, cellar, and yard - also
Five tenements, with paved yard, known as Blake’s Court, in rear of Nos 8 and 9, producing a gross rental of £75 per annum or thereabout.

Daniel Saunders, 11, of 1 Blake’s Court, Warblington Street, schoolboy, was charged with stealing a pair of boots, valued at 6d, from his mother, Alice Saunders, on the 28th inst., Prosecutrix stated prisoner was a very bad boy. He took the boots fro yesterday and sold them to a boy named Harry Spier for 3d. When charged with the theft he said that his mother had given them to him. He was sentenced to receive six strokes with the birch rod.
